Tania Akhter, aged 11

As one of six children, Tania’s limited family income is spread very thinly. In order to make ends meet, Tania’s mother secured employment as a domestic worker and Tania also began working at a house, leaving school at just 9 years old. Through Education for Change, Tania was able to continue with her studies through education provided at her employer’s home.
